Welcome to the official website of the Melbourne Organisation of Muslims Inc. (MOMIN). We are delighted to have you here. 

MOMIN is dedicated to fostering a vibrant and inclusive Muslim community in Melbourne and carrying it beyond, guided by the noble principles of the Amal of Masjid of Rasulullah (PBUH) and the practices of the Sahabah (RAD) and the Tabi’un (their followers). We aim to work collaboratively with the Muslim community and extend our efforts beyond, ensuring that our initiatives and activities benefit all, In Sha Allah (God willing).

At MOMIN, we follow Australian local moonsighting to determine the beginning and end of each Islamic month, which is the blessed Sunnah way of our beloved Prophet Muhammad PBUH. We respect and value other opinions, such as regional moonsighting and the calculation method, recognizing the diversity in this matter. As an organization, MOMIN observes Islamic occasions like Ramadan, Eid, Hajj, etc. based on local moonsighting, in alignment with decisions made by Sheikh Dr. Shabbir Ahmed from Moonsighting Australia.

General Donation Section

We humbly turn to Allah SWT for help. Since our birth, we have relied solely on Allah's provision to maintain our Musallah and conduct our activities, never asking for financial assistance from anyone other than Allah SWT. However, many members of our community have expressed a desire to contribute to this noble cause. In response to their requests, we gradually introduced a physical Donation Box at Musallah, implemented EFTPOS for cashless donation (as requested by the community members), and are now providing the option for donations. We welcome any contributions with gratitude, as they help sustain our efforts and allow our Musallah to continue serving the community. May Allah SWT reward your generosity and support.

We are excited to announce the launch of our new series, "Hayatus Sahabah RAD," starting on 24 August 2024. Join us every 4th Saturday as Sheikh Mohtadi and Mufti Shahid Shah guide us through the inspiring lives of the Sahabah (Radiyallahu Anhum). Understanding the lives of the Sahabah is crucial as they were the closest companions of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and exemplified the highest standards of faith, character, and dedication.
